Following the defeat for Theresa May's Brexit deal in the commons last night, it is looking increasingly likely that Britain is heading for a No-Deal exit from the European Union on 29th March 2019. Whatever your side of the debate, one thing is certain. A no-deal departure from the EU after 46 years of membership would be a significant change to the status quo. With that in mind, it is time (if you haven't already) to consider preparing your business for a no-deal Brexit. GDPR and Backup: A Potential Minefield Easily Avoided
In their current format it will be impossible for backups and snapshots to comply with the right to be forgotten within GDPR, however systems can be built with compliance in mind. The right to erasure will also apply to all backups, which in turn would make it impossible to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as searching for personal data in a backup is very impractical.

It’s a sight that has become all too familiar this winter. Strong winds, flooded streets and fallen trees. Storm Imogen is another name to add to the list of uncharacteristically extreme weather in the UK. The Independent claims that the cost to the UK economy of the flooding over the Christmas period could reach £6bn. “Economists have predicted that the recent flooding will hit Britain’s GDP by 0.2 per cent due to businesses being forced to close, loss of agriculture output, and people not being able to go shopping and travel.”
